Met Gala 2013 – Punk Style
The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala is always one of the most highly anticipated fashion events of the year. The event is always studded with celebrities, supermodels and high profile designers. With the focus on unique fashion and distinctive styling this year’s theme was ‘’Punk: Chaos to Couture’’ and the guests did not disappoint with their quirky costumes. Madonna made...

Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation by Benefit
The new(ish) foundation from Benefit is oil free and has SPF 25 (personally I don’t think foundations should contain SPF but i’ll do a whole other post on that.) It claims to build from light to medium coverage and reduce the signs of ageing. I picked up a sample in Boots a few weeks ago (I was supposed to be having a mini makeover as well but clearly the assistant couldn’t be...

HUGE beauty news!
I have just received an email from The Body Shop announcing the wonderful news that the EU has finally banned all animal testing of cosmetics. From now on any products or ingredients which have been tested on animals will not be allowed to be sold or imported into the EU. I for one think this is brilliant news however what will happen to the cosmetic giants who have been testing on animals for...

Topshop Sale Picks
I was a little disappointed with the Topshop sale as a lot of it is very Christmassy and not things you’d be able to wear year round but there are still a few pretty pieces, especially if you’re looking for a new years eve dress or just a general night out outfit. Silver Sequin and Chiffon Slip Dress - Was £65 now £35 http://tinyurl.com/b7y565w Sequin Skirt Dress by Rare - Was...

Picks from the NET-A-PORTER sale
If you’re looking to treat yourself to something special in the winter sales (as opposed to rails of £10 rejects) then NET-A-PORTER is a pretty good place to look. Investing in one or two key pieces at half their normal price is actually a lot more savvy than wasting £100 on bits and bobs which nobody else wanted when they were full price, not to mention that sale items are often damaged or...

Seche Review - Magnifique
The Seche nail polish I got in my GlossyBox is so brilliant i’m a little bit in love with it. The colour is a deep pink which shines with hints of purple in different lights. After one coat the polish was almost perfect however I did two just to make sure. Now I always chip my polish straight away but this has lasted perfectly through a day of shopping, cooking, washing up and present...

December Glossy Box
Aloha dear readers, long time no speak. I recently decided to subscribe to glossy box and see what all the fuss was about. I waited impatiently and finally retrieved a sodden box from behind the bin today (…thanks again for that Mr delivery man!) I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the contents of the box as I’ve seen varying reviews. The box was a very festive silver with equally...

HOT OFF THE PRESS! Be Beautiful - Ginger and Lime...
The lovely Rebecca (friend and fellow More! Hot 100 member) is launching her very own skincare range called Be Beautiful. She was kind enough to send me a sample of her ginger and lime salt scrub (before release - how special did I feel!) and I LOVE it! First of all it smells great. Really fresh and invigorating, perfect for sleepy winter mornings. All of the Be Beautiful range is hand made and...

The Beauty Cupboard: Urban Decay NYC Palette →
thebeautycupboard: I was beyond excited to see that UD seem to have made some more of these, I’m not entirely sure why they’re on sale again because I thought they were limited edition but they are still in stock on the Debenhams website so if you want one GO GO GO!! I asked the consultant in Debenhams but she…

I’m almost (note the almost) glad that i’m not at fashion week because i’m so sick. I’ve done nothing all day except eat sugar free jelly and now i’m going to go and make some more jelly. Its stuff like this you can really only do at home when you’re sick. I have a piece of paper on my floor with the words A Wang and Vicky B scribbled on it. I’ll get to...

The Beauty Cupboard: Sleek Caribbean Collection →
thebeautycupboard: I finally gave into the hype and tried Sleek. The Caribbean collection appealed to me because i’ve never really seen colours like this before, especially not for such a low price and I thought it would be fun to try. I didn’t buy the eyeshadow palette because I despise cheap eyeshadows no matter…

The Beauty Cupboard: Dove Summer Glow Review →
thebeautycupboard: I am the first to admit that I am not very good with fake tan. Because I’m so awful at it, I rarely use it however due to my obsession with The Only Way Is Essex I decided it was time for me to fully embrace my inner Essex girl and become bronzed. Since I’m scarily pale I decided to try a gradual…

The Beauty Cupboard: Urban Decay Dew Me Review →
thebeautycupboard: ”Wake up, makeup and Dew Me! Ideal for complexions that need moisture, and great for mature skin. But, our Brightening formula…

I’m so excited for fashion week. And i’m sick so I don’t feel like doing anything apart from sitting in and looking at all the shows. Can’t wait for the big ones to come up.

hotchekhov answered your question: You know what really makes me cross? If it makes you feel any better, none of us can afford exorbitant shipping for Asos and Dorothy Perkins. At least your money is worth more. I don’t shop at DP or Asos i’m afraid. If I could convert my money to dollars most cosmetics would be almost half price for me on what I pay now.
